CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK is a drive-thru light extravaganza put up by the non-profit organization CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK Inc. Between November 27, 2023, to January 1, 2024, downtown San Jose, California, brings this festive show to the public at History Park.
(Cocooned in the cozy comfort of my car, I took the pictures through the glass. Therefore, due to the cold fogging up the glass, my cellphone’s pictures aren’t very clear but, hopefully, they will give an idea of the event.)
As you drive along the route, holiday music and dazzling lights will keep you company. Lighted arches and the glorious, lighted tower bring in the festive cheer while the lights danced among giant candy canes and vibrantly illuminated tunnels. Bright snowflakes and leaping reindeer will delight the viewers.
The Candy Cane displays stand tall with their lights synced and pulsating to the beat of the music on 93.5 FM. as you drive through, the columns bold and shining bright.
However, though it is a magical scene, for those who are very sensitive to strobing lights, it would probably be better to visit the event at downtown Plaza de Cesar Chavez, San Jose, where you can stroll, enjoying the various holiday displays, stalls and visits with Santa, which is just as magical and more fun.
This Drive-Thru allows dogs in the car but no one is allowed to get out of the car while driving through the exhibits.

Have a safe and peaceful holiday season!
